Okay, well. I'm rather new at this whole journal thing, but I just had to say this out loud. My most popular deviation, 'Death Is Amorous', was not a product of patient effort and focussed thought: it was accidental. A few random effects on a random portrait off the web, and BAM, you get a dead-looking girl that's staring at you alluringly. Since the picture did seem fit for necrophiliacs, that is what I commented on the picture.

In my 18 months with dA (12 of which have been idle...), nothing surprised me more than the constant messages I would get, telling me that 'XXX has added Death Is Amorous to their favorites'. The slow consistency of this weird behavior was beginning to freak me out.

So, I have finally decided to take the deviation off the web. It is not because I think ill of the people who liked and appreciated the image (I'll send it to anybody who wants it), but because there was no link between me and the image. I just got it from the net, and applied a random set of effects (which I don't remember anymore), and made whatever I could of the results.
And for those who admire its content, I do not believe that death is amorous. Dead bodies must be respected for the beliefs of the souls that owned them, they cannot be playthings for perverts. Hence, even that appreciation would be misplaced.

This can be thought of like coming out of the closet, because now I accept my fault before the world. However, I cannot live with this being my legacy, and hence the deletion. I apologize to all who faved it, or were going to fav it. But believe me, after reading this, you will not want to, because there is nothing more deviant than a dishonest piece of art.
